In an effort to collaborate with the private sector companies of Pakistan, USAID signed Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) with Mobilink; Medentech, Ireland based manufacturers of Aquatabs water purification tablets and Unilever, Pakistan, manufacturers of Lifebuoy soap.  These are the first ever Memorandum of Understanding signed between USAID’s funded Project and the private sector in Pakistan

Mobilink has agreed to support the USAID/PSDW-HPP by communicating critical ‘safe drinking water and hygiene promotion messages’ through outreach at cluster launches and regional events, thereby leveraging on our widespread reach to spread the message across the country. Messages will also be included on relevant Mobilink IVR services such as the Kisan Service. These messages are aimed at bringing changes to hygiene behaviors and saving lives while helping Pakistani communities reduce deaths caused by diarrhea.
