Mobilink Club Indigo 3rd Golf Invitational reaches Lahore

Lahore: March 07, 2009 - The annual Club Indigo Golf Tournament organized by Mobilink, the country’s market leader in cellular services and subsidiary of Orascom Telecom, after successfully commencing in Karachi teed off today at the Royal Palm Country Club Lahore .

Mustafa Peracha, Vice President Customer Services, Mobilink while recognizing the golfing talents of the participants stated, “After the success of the Mobilink Indigo Golf Tournament in Karachi, we found golf enthusiasts in Lahore equally charged up. This is the 3rd year of the tournament, which has now become an annual feature associated with Mobilink Indigo. Each year, we try to take the golfing experience to the next level in order to exceed the expectations of our valued customers.”

 This year, the tournament also saw a significant number of female players participate in the event, showing the growing popularity of the sport in Pakistan. Attractive prizes were given on this occasion Mr. Azfar Hassan was the winner in Gross category & Mr. Ali Anwar was the net winner.
After the first tournament which was held in Karachi this is the second series in Lahore with the final tournament set to be played in Islamabad soon. Mobilink has been instrumental in pioneering such events and activities to promote sports and culture across the country. At the forefront of their noteworthy initiatives is the Mobilink Hunt for Heroes talent search for young cricketers. The entire U-15 cricket squad that represented Pakistan at the U-15 World Cup in West Indies was uncovered by the Mobilink Hunt for Heroes program.
