Mobilink partners with PTV to bring Elections 2008 Updates

Islamabad: 06 February 2008: Mobilink, the country's leader in cellular communication with a growing base of over 30 million customers and part of the Orascom Telecom group has signed an exclusive partnership with PTV for providing regular SMS/IVR updates for the forthcoming Elections.

SMS/IVR services will provide customers with updates on national and provincial assembly results, profiles of various political parties & prominent political candidates. For instance, users interested in national assembly results, just need to sms "NA" to 2008 and they will receive all the results on their mobile phone. Price for this service is a nominal Rs 100 + Tax. In addition to sms services, customers can also listen to Live PTV Election transmission along with regular results updates (On election days) by dialing 1947 from their Mobilink number.
