Pakistan Honored through Mobilink at World Communications Award 2007

Karachi: 10 October, 2007 - Mobilink, the country's market leader in cellular communication with a growing base of over 27 million customers and part of the Orascom Telecom group has brought a singular honor for Pakistan for being the only South Asian cellular company to be represented at the World Communications Award (WCA) 2007.

Mobilink has been nominated for "The Best Operator in a Developing Market" category in the WCA 2007. The prestigious awards will be announced at the grand gala dinner on November 28, 2007 at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, London.

The growth and progress made in Pakistan in the telecommunication sector is one of the key reasons why the international focus is on fast-moving economies of the developing world. Mobilink is a forerunner in the cellular industry of Pakistan, and thus was the obvious choice for the coveted nomination.
