Mobilink launches Pakistan's First Voice Portal

ISLAMABAD: February 27, 2007 - Mobilink, the country's market leader in cellular services with more than 23 million customers, and part of the Orascom Telecom Group, today launched its new "555 Sab Batata Hai" Voice Portal. The service is expected to be received with a positive response from its postpaid and prepaid customers.

The "555 Sab Batata Hai" is voice recognition IVR service designed to provide Mobilink customers easy access to a host of value added services such as ring tones, greetings, news, jokes, cricket services, contests, horoscopes, recipes and other facilities. Mobilink plans to add more catogeries to this service in the near future. The voice portal is a first-of-a-kind service to be introduced by any cellular company in Pakistan.

This service is available for both prepaid and postpaid customers. Customers can access '555 Sab Batata Hai' from any handset by simply dialing 555 and pressing 'send'.

Its easy to use the "555 Sab Batata Hai" Voice Portal, for example, if the user wants to listen to the cricket score, he can simply say 'Cricket' and will be taken to the cricket menu; likewise, if the user wants to download a ring tone he just has to say 'Ring tones'. Next, he can choose the type of Ring tone by saying 'Pakistani Music' and then download it on his/her phone.
