Mobilink gifts new houses to Roshni Homes Trust

Gujranwala: November 06, 2007 - Mobilink, the country's leading cellular company with more than 27 million customers throughout Pakistan, and part of Orascom Telecom, today announced its continuing support to Roshni Homes Trust by inaugurating a new youth housing block in Gujranwala. In addition, Mobilink announced 12 scholarships for Roshni Homes Trusts brightest students for 2 years. The total cost for the scholarship program will be USD 15,000 per year.

Roshni Homes Trust is a private entity run by a Board of Trustees working for orphaned and abandoned children providing them with housing and education. Children are provided good quality education and an opportunity to build lasting relationships, thereby learning values of caring, sharing, and being responsible citizens.

The RH Trust is based on three pillars, giving the children a proper home, a good family, and quality education. The core objective of all these efforts is to make these children highly productive, responsible and integral members of the society through higher education and character building.

Inaugurating the new block, Zouhair Khaliq, President & CEO Mobilink, stated "Our support to the Roshni Homes Trust is a social initiatives that we do with pride, honor and with great responsibility; we understand and care for institutions that make a difference in people's lives, particularly children.
