Mobilink gives PCO hand-sets as Ramadan gift to poor people of flood-affected areas in Sindh

Karachi: October 03, 2007 - Mobilink, the country's market leader in cellular communication with a growing base of over 27 million customers and part of the Orascom Telecom group, today distributed PCO hand-sets as a Ramadan gift to the deserving persons of flood-affected areas of Shahdad Kot, North West of Larkana, Sindh.

This was the Company's second phase of helping the affectees by providing them free PCO hand-sets as an income generating solution. Mobilink's continuous support to society is changing the lives of thousands of people especially in calamity-hit areas of Pakistan.

Mobilink was the first cellular operator to venture into the flood-affected areas of Sindh to support relief agency efforts. The company arranged for the distribution of relief goods with the help of Pakistan Rangers and the Edhi Trust.

Bilal Munir Sheikh, Vice President Marketing, Mobilink stated, "We are deeply involved in helping the people of the flood-affected areas of Sindh with food and relief goods.
