Mobilink PCO now available through "NBP Karobar" Under President's Rozgar scheme by National Bank of Pakistan Islamabad: March 21, 2007 - Mobilink, the country's leading cellular service and part of the Orascom Telecom group, with a mission to connect the unconnected, today inked an agreement with National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) to finance Mobilink PCO under the President's ROZGAR Scheme The NBP Karobar scheme is designed to finance the setting-up of Mobilink PCO that will offer profitable business to the entrepreneur instantly. With Mobilink's unmatched coverage and NBP's wide financial network, the project is expected to attain unrivaled success. Mobilink PCO is a shop in a box solution, which comes with a plethora of benefits, which includes exceptional coverage, and ease of its wireless technology. The PCO kit has a wireless payphone, with shop branding items. The customers can instantly start their business activity after acquiring this PCO package. "Mobilink is reshaping lives. This partnership with NBP in the Karobar scheme is a major step in strengthening the initiative of the President's ROZGAR scheme. This is our way of nurturing the relationship we share with the Nation. We have gone a step further by offering an employment solution through the Mobilink PCO project and we trust that this project will improve the lives of the rural and urban populace", briefed Zouhair Khaliq, President, and CEO, Mobilink. Applicants for Mobilink NBP PCO Karobar Scheme have to be unemployed, fall between the age brackets of 18 years to 45 years, possess a valid CNIC and must be a resident of the same area for the last 2 years. They can start their business within two weeks of acceptance of an application. To facilitate the customer there are no installments for the first three months to assist in earning a healthy return on investment immediately. NBP and Mobilink believe that the PCO program now available under the ROZGAR Scheme in more than 4100 cities, towns and villages will provide access to communication facilities in the rural and underdeveloped areas of Pakistan. This will enable Mobilink PCO to be accessible to a multitude of unemployed Pakistanis by facilitating the acquisition of this employment tool offering a sustainable source of income. Customers can start their business for as low as Rs 1,100/- (inclusive of all cost) and can get upto 5 PCOs financed through the scheme and can earn approximately Rs12,000/ month after paying all expenses. In this context, NBP has launched "NBP Karobar" under the President's ROZGAR Scheme. The scheme was inaugurated by the Honorable President of Pakistan in the month of September 2006 and test launched in October 2006 from 125 NBP online branches throughout Pakistan. |
